Josh Hazlewood, a gifted fast bowler of the Australian Cricket Team, has been forced to withdraw from the eagerly anticipated World Test Championship final. This is a major setback for the Australian cricket team. Hazlewood’s ability to fully recuperate from a side strain injury acquired during his participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has jeopardized his participation in the upcoming match against India.

The Australian team is devastated by this news because Josh Hazlewood was a crucial part of their potent bowling assault. Hazlewood’s absence will significantly impact the team’s strategy and game plan for the key game because of his reputation for accurate line and length.

Despite his best attempts to recover in time, it seems that the healing process has not gone as planned, which has forced him to make the regrettable decision to leave the game.

Josh Hazlewood Ruled Out

The Australian squad will surely notice Hazlewood’s absence. Since he has constantly shown himself to be a dependable wicket-taking option and an essential component of their bowling unit. He is a great weapon in both home and away situations. He has the capacity to provide pace and movement, which frequently confuses opposing batsmen.

Despite this loss, the Australian team has an abundance of quality fast bowlers, which could somewhat mitigate the impact. To overcome this obstacle, the team will need to modify its strategies.

Although his team is anxious to capture their first WTC crown, coach Andrew McDonald said the short turnaround to the five-test Ashes campaign still needs to be taken into account when handling their fast bowlers.

Josh Hazlewood is one of the cornerstones of Australia’s three-man pace attack. Still, he has only played in four of the last 19 Test matches because of a string of ailments.

The Australian team will need to come together and reevaluate their strategies as the World Test Championship final draws near in light of Hazlewood’s absence. The coaching team will be essential in making sure the remaining bowlers are emotionally and physically ready for the important match.

World Test Championship

Hazlewood suffered a side strain while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the recently finished IPL. A stay that was blighted by injuries. He only managed to participate in three games before having to return home.

In Hazlewood’s absence, though, it is fast medium bowler Scott Boland who appears to be a more likely first-XI starter. Since the favorable conditions for seam-up, hit-the-deck deliveries.

Neser has been playing for Glamorgan in the County Championship this year and has been in great form. In his previous three games, he has taken 14 wickets, including 7/32 against Yorkshire. He has seven wickets from two Test matches for Australia.

Statements on Josh Hazlewood

“Josh was very close to receiving the go-ahead, but we are aware that this is not a one-off Test match for us due to our schedule.” Chair of Selectors George Bailey said to cricket.com.au.

After arriving back in Sydney, Hazlewood resumed bowling because scans had revealed no damage or injuries.

On June 16, the five-match Ashes series in England will begin. Hazlewood, who has already missed a lot of Australia’s Test cricket action, will have more time to prepare for the crucial series.

“Josh will have the perfect preparation for Edgbaston after this break. We will use all of our fast bowling resources because we have six Test matches coming up in just over seven weeks. Bailey further added.

“Michael’s County has been playing well, and knowing that he would be nearby encouraged him to continue playing and allowed us to call on him. He is an excellent addition to the fast bowling group.” The former Australian skipper mentioned.

“Definitely a consideration for (the schedule) – we don’t want to go too far ahead,” McDonald told reporters.

“After the WTC final, we must swiftly shift our focus to England and the Ashes. Short turnarounds are available there. Nothing about that surprises us.” They added

“Therefore, management-related considerations will always be present. There might be some moving elements amid the quicks, in my opinion.”
